One thing I love besides art is music. I play in a band that's been out and about and write music myself on occassion. Music goes hand in hand with my creating and many a painting has spawned from my head from what a song has made me feel.
So I figured for fun just to post some inspirational songs, albums and bands that has inspired me throughout the years. Maybe you like it, maybe you don't. Holler if you find something interesting, share alike. Let me know what drives your creating!
Stick To Your Guns - True View
A banger of an album from my all-time favourite band. Teaching good life lessons, principles and just how to overall be a good person. I make no exaggeration when I say this band has been like a parent and this album wants to say a lot about self-improvement, discovery and just realities of life. It's furious music with a buddhist-zen type of message.

Dreadnoughts - Foreign Skies
I love history and here is a folk-punk album all about World War 1. What's more kickass than that? It's fast, chaotic, heartfelt and surprisingly catchy, even for those that don't like that vibe. They also perform the occasional sea shanty.

DOMINA OST
What happens when you mix boxing-intro rock, guitars as synths to the tunes from ye olde Roman Republic? You get some gladiatorial high-octane tunes. It's from a rogue-like management game where you're put in control of a ludus, a gladiator school, tasked with training the best of the best and crushing other ludus's gladiators to come out on top.
This game is hot-ass controversial right now. Not for the game itself but the right-wing tangents and expressions written within the games patch notes and Steam News which in the end made Steam have enough and ban the game entirely.
It's a shame. I'm no right-winger but I value freedom of expression and think you should play the game and listen to the OST regardless, the game has zero relation to the controversy.

Garmarna - Herr Mannelig
This is an old medieval Swedish song, remade into Folk-rock by the band Garmarna. It's about a pagan troll, offering her hand in marriage to a christian knight if he converts, promising gold, land and plunder by returning to the viking ways; in hopes of not being persecuted for her beliefs anymore. He responds he'd gladly accept the gifts it would offer, but only if she converts to christianity instead. A fascinating allegory for the changing of the times back in the medieval ages.

Yoko Kanno feat. Arnor Dan - Von
This is from the anime Terror in Resonance, a good watch to be sure but this song sticks out of the OST, it's melancholic, calm and dreamy. It is absolutely criminal how hard it is to come across this song, I can't find it almost anywhere. I hope posting this here will get at least 1 other person to hear it for the first time.
